Rumney Tour - 15th - 16th September 2001

The tour started early on Saturday with departure from Bewdley via Stourport (eventually after we ate the cafe out of sausage, bacon and eggs).

As part of the celebration of our chairman's stag weekend the club arranged to play a game against Rumney 3rds on Saturday afternoon. The best I can say about this was it was a fine display of rugby, most enjoyable to watch and that's from me and I was playing! Excellent hospitality from Rumney after the game and a presentation of a club plaque to Alan. He washed this down with a yard of ale that actually stayed in his stomach!

After the game and many drinks we found our hotel and the bar. Cardiff pubs and clubs were next on the agenda.  A good cheap Wetherspoon's pub was found. This is where the fun started. After finding the lift for JT (old git) so that he didn't have to use the stairs Martin found a fine white PVC clad nurse to rub his chest better whilst he observed her piercing.

We then moved on to the club. A fine display of staggering from Dave Bell left everyone splitting their sides. Tony's amazing dance routines wooed the women present, so much in fact that a woman appeared to ask for an egg!

After many crashed and burnt attempts we staggered back to the hotel to enjoy local Kebab and the hotel bar.

Tony eventually went to bed and was up bright and early 2 hours later to drive the bus back home. I think his eyes did open once to look at the road!
