2004 / 2005

It is with great regret that the members of the committee of Bedley Town Rugby Club annnounce that the club is to fold due to lack of player interest. We thank all the people who have helped as players and supporters in the last five years. The situation became unrecoverable due to teh number of playing members (6) and therefore we have decided to fold the club as of April 2005.

2004 / 2005

Once again we are suffering player problems. To this end we have taken the decision to merge with Stourport third team. We will play two matches a month as Bewdley and two mates a month as Stourport thirds. So if you are interested please contact us.

Bewdley Town Rise Again

We are still going, (contrary to popular belief). We are however undergoing a minor player shortage. As a result we had to suspend match play until the situation was resolved. We still had a solid core of players and after much hard work have managed to recruit enough new players into the club to enable us to to play one off games as we are able until the end of the season. Please see the ficture list to find out when we are playing. Thanks go to all the players who have supported us in the past and the new players who have joined to support us now and in the future.

Bewdley celebrate first birthday.

Bewdley Town Rugby Football Club celebrated its first birthday on 24th March 2001. The day was marked by a game against Bromsgrove 3rd's in the afternoon and a party in the evening at the local cricket club, who have kindly let us use its facilities this season. The evening was marked by a speech from the chairman Alan Banks who thanked all the players for their help, support and their bruises! It was also announced at the party that we have verbally been accepted into the league for next season despite floods, invisible opposition and foot and mouth (although we are not short of a few mad cows!) trying to defy our efforts.
