Bewdley's third game of their campaign saw them entertain Bredon Star. Bredon started well and showed that they are a team to be reckoned with this year.  Points flowed quickly through the pure pace of the Bredon wings, which the Bewdley backs could not handle. A bad start got worse when Bewdley lost their pace man Matt Collier with a leg injury which turned out to be quite a horrific broken leg. Bredon's backs ruled the game and scored at will showing not just Bewdley that they mean business this year.

Bewdley were unlucky not to score mid way through the second half when Darren Hughes picked up a loose ball from a line out and powered for the line only to be stopped agonisingly short.  Bredon did not let up late on and scored more points to which Bewdley had no answer. Once again Bewdley did not drop their heads and played on till the very end.

A Bredon player commented after the game "The Bewdley lads did not drop even at the end and that shows great commitment".
