Bewdley hosted Bournville on Saturday, the hardest opposition so far.  Both teams were highly motivated for the encounter but Bewdley knew that this was going to be tough.

The Bewdley scrum again performed did not get pushed around which meant the backs had some good ball. Bournville also kept their ball well and had many opportunities to score and eventually did. As the first half went on Bournville got more ball to their wings and used the space well scoring more points.

Bewdley could not handle the big hits in midfield and balls were spilled. Many of the Bewdley team were playing out of position and this showed with a lack of cohesion through the team.

In the second half Bournville carried on where they left off and scored sometimes at will. Bewdley were unlucky with a couple of chances but the score would not come for them. Bournville should have scored more points than they did but over confidence and last ditch tacking kept the score relatively low.

Man of the match Stuart Bell did well behind the scrum and winger Matt Collier also got praise. A plus point again is the scrum which is a good building block for the rest of the season.
