Bewdley continued to show marked improvements despite a 25-15 defeat at the hands of Kynoch.
Bewdley were on the ball from the off and showed that the forwards and backs are beginning to gel into a solid unit. The Bewdley backs excelled with fluid moves, which put immediate
pressure on the visitor's defensive lines. This lead to Kynoch giving away a penalty, which prop Darren Hughes, capitalised on with a quickly taken tap penalty to score from close range.
Kynoch replied immediately however to level the scores.
Bewdley put in more hard work with this paying off with more moves from the backs which lead to Bewdley once again taking the lead.
The first half continued with the to-and-fro action and Kynoch scored the inevitable equalizing try just before half time.
Kynoch gathered themselves up at half time and quickly got the upper hand. Two quick tries, of which one was converted, saw Kynoch put some daylight between the two teams.
Once again the in form Steve Freeman danced through the Kynoch backs to pull Bewdley back into the game. Bewdley pressured in the final minutes but Kynoch sealed the game with a penalty
kick in the dying moments.
This performance shows that the hard work put in over the Christmas period is beginning to pay off with a league win surely coming sooner rather than later.
